I've been busy making and doing things. But I will say more about these things another time.<br /><br />I wanted to mention that at the end of last month, I was asked to do some vocals for a piece of music by the band 100 Bullets Back. It was good fun. The song is called 'Anger Management Co.' I was singing about 'insomnia' and 'herbal tea'. I found the lyrics interesting. I will let you know when there is something completed that can be heard. I am now going to have some Dr. Stuart's herbal tea. It's a good tea bag for pranks. Plant one of these in someone's tea caddy. It smells like death.<br /><br />RebeccaRebeccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17541647898202032717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4545661032263536350.post-17742591905320658282008-09-02T05:09:00.000-07:002008-09-02T05:15:09.856-07:00Thomas Truax supportA quick little post to let y'all know that Cogwheel Dogs will be playing in support of Thomas Truax later this week:<div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Thursday 4 September</span></div><div><a href="http://www.thomastruax.com/welcomeset.html">Thomas Truax</a> + Black Hats (<a href="http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=109672146">myspace</a>) + <a href="http://www.cogwheeldogs.com">Cogwheel Dogs</a></div><div>Bullingdon Arms, Oxford (<a href="http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=OX4+1UE&spn=0.005,0.02&hl=en">map</a>)</div>Tom Parnellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15585203595319919384noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4545661032263536350.post-35275303325133163062008-08-31T13:21:00.000-07:002008-08-31T13:24:57.851-07:00Frustration abated => productivity<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgt8HOo99n04ojSmXiIMhBefj_n1e5trmp2X6ZZ1Uuw4YDhIOwT8eUpls86Z-WzrDWHlA7R0YMVOxzegX4j5lay5uVErMtxFlejRk2q84LiyrxeuDS-fzLCeJVRhK9An2ua2unrfHkjB2LE/s1600-h/IMG_7284.jpg"></a><div>We continue in <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">dogged</span> pursuit (thank you, ladies; thank you, gentlemen) of our autumnal goal: the recording of an EP.</div><div><br /></div><div>Having been beleaguered by buzzes (persistent, seemingly unbanishable hums emanating from our recording equipment), we have been frustrated by slow progress. I’m impressed by Rebecca’s blog, the band’s website – I’m a sucker for visual wit, I’m afraid. As for the sounds: I like where these songs are going. They are going places and can take you there, which is what songs, essentially, should do. That’s a great beginning and I’d love to see where the songs go from here. I hope there’s a song about the attic somewhere along the way ...</blockquote><br /></div></div>Tom Parnellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15585203595319919384noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4545661032263536350.post-17537181696205505942008-06-25T05:01:00.000-07:002008-12-08T18:24:04.557-08:00Cogwheel Junk<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioZ3Ageu7UfMjWrZKPUzQn8g_a5s_paRxz1JJt-op-0J6TY_5kuUAy9Lp8pkz76kwd2DP49ieNT4LF4dC6M15tpTWIU4ueG_vyy7c0OAp45_Omf-TjK8Mdced2OrtC0i4IVBY10XHpmDTl/s1600-h/jm.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioZ3Ageu7UfMjWrZKPUzQn8g_a5s_paRxz1JJt-op-0J6TY_5kuUAy9Lp8pkz76kwd2DP49ieNT4LF4dC6M15tpTWIU4ueG_vyy7c0OAp45_Omf-TjK8Mdced2OrtC0i4IVBY10XHpmDTl/s400/jm.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5215790479844460466" /></a><br />The fine folk at <a href="http://www.junkmedia.org/">Junkmedia</a> have reviewed Cress. The excellent, misty-eyed ‘Ghostwriter’ doesn’t suffer much from the absence of the hypnotic typewriter which graces the record, and even the underwhelming-on-CD ‘Anticoagulant’ seems better balanced tonight, with Rebecca Mosley’s ever-more-authoritative singing keeping Tom Parnell’s screeching cello from freaking out the squares just that little bit too much.</blockquote><blockquote>(<a href="http://www.oxfordbands.com/2008/04/28/the-half-rabbits-sennen-sunnyvale-noise-sub-element-cogwheel-dogs-the-wheatsheaf-25-april-2008/">Read the full review on Oxfordbands.com</a>)</blockquote><p></p> <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica">If you so desire, you can <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/allthatimprobableblue/page2/">see an assortment of photos of the OxJam gig on Flickr</a> ...</p>Tom Parnellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15585203595319919384noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4545661032263536350.post-24875571588132183642008-04-26T14:03:00.000-07:002008-12-08T18:24:05.347-08:00A nice new web<div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5OzF-_YmFSAFUHGPv8muZQ5NhoN9fbSAEeI-It3flIMItHgbMg2u7VMdibghyBGfKb0MgmI-azrCHnCWMxHtyhp5vkHJDhGwUD7jDX4TVH63n8lOVI2tEcXNEPm0QfscEAGI0PTkxY5KC/s1600-h/web.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5OzF-_YmFSAFUHGPv8muZQ5NhoN9fbSAEeI-It3flIMItHgbMg2u7VMdibghyBGfKb0MgmI-azrCHnCWMxHtyhp5vkHJDhGwUD7jDX4TVH63n8lOVI2tEcXNEPm0QfscEAGI0PTkxY5KC/s400/web.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5193664832935820450" /></a><br /><div><div>Cogwheel Dogs are pleased to unveil our new website.</div><div><br /></div><div>Please - be our guest: explore. <a href="http://www.cogwheeldogs.com/">Let the adventure begin.</a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrHwHAxJnA2F2n8lDIcDqUC_ZUaWTC3SxlwcaJdjaCS9ZdpHbuYTBua0inO4f2DaFOVCyavgU8nydamrIL7kmVvVAfQxUHitscSbZIMTiN1LbUAifd7ky2DTh0ganEmUkV_X421aFf5E-s/s400/newweb.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5193665760648756402" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; " /></div></div>Tom Parnellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15585203595319919384noreply@blogger.com0
